Your money is protected
ALT21 or Currencycloud, as an electronic money institution, takes on the task of receiving and managing client funds, and also facilitates currency conversions and outgoing payments.
Full protection
Regardless of whether the money is intended for conversion or payment, every amount of money held on behalf of a client is safeguarded and protected.
Better than a bank account
This safeguarding system stands in stark contrast to a regular bank account, where your money may not always be fully protected under the deposit guarantee scheme in the Netherlands.
No cap
Safeguarding protects the full value of the client balance, while the deposit guarantee scheme has a cap of EUR 100,000 per person per bank.
Regulated partners
ALT21 and Currencycloud are recognised electronic money institutions that comply with strict regulations for the protection of client funds.
E-money
When money is deposited into your account, electronic money is issued in exchange for this deposit by an Electronic Money Institution we work with, namely ALT21 or Currencycloud. In accordance with regulations, ALT21 or Currencycloud safeguards your money.
This means that the money behind the balance you see in your account is held at a reputable bank and — most importantly — is protected for you in the event that ALT21, Currencycloud or we become insolvent. ALT21 or Currencycloud stops safeguarding your money once the amount has been paid out from your account to the beneficiary's account.
Support for vulnerable clients
At ValutaPartners, we take into account clients who find themselves in vulnerable circumstances. This may be the case, for example, with health issues, a disability, significant life events or financial difficulties.
