ValutaPartners B.V. ("ValutaPartners", "we", "our") processes data, including personal data, of clients who use the services of ValutaPartners B.V.. This is a privacy statement that describes how we collect, control and process the data of our clients within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR"). We comply with the rules of the GDPR in all activities.

As part of our normal business operations, we collect certain (personal) data about our clients and share it with The Currency Cloud BV ("Currencycloud"):

ValutaPartners B.V. has not appointed a DPO. ValutaPartners does not monitor individuals on a large scale and does not process special categories of personal data.

We may collect and process the following data about you

Information you provide to us:

You may provide us with information about yourself by filling in forms on our sites or by communicating with us by phone, email or otherwise. This includes information you provide when you register to use our services or when you report a problem with our services. The data we may collect includes: client name, client email and postal addresses, phone number, country of residence, nationality, date of birth, passport copy, company information, bank account details and other payment information.

You may provide us with information about shareholders, supervisory board members and directors so that we can deliver our services. This may be done by filling in online forms or by communicating with us by phone, email or otherwise. You must obtain the appropriate consent before disclosing this information to us.

You provide us with information as soon as you use our services. This data relates to transactions and beneficiaries of payments.

On our sites we use Google Analytics. The data we collect does not contain personal data and cannot in any way be traced back to individual users.

If ValutaPartners B.V. is acquired by a third party. In that case, personal information held by ValutaPartners B.V. about its clients is among the assets to be transferred.

Where we have a duty to disclose or share your personal information to comply with legal obligations or to enforce or apply our Terms of Use or General Terms and Conditions and other agreements, or to protect the rights, property or safety of us, clients and others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for fraud prevention and credit risk reduction.

Where we store your personal information

The data we collect about you may be sent to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area ("EEA"). We use various cloud data processors.

All information you provide to us is stored under our management and that of Currencycloud. All payment transactions are encrypted. If Currencycloud has given you a password (or if you have chosen a password) with which you access certain parts of the Currencycloud website, it is your responsibility to keep this password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone.

The transfer of information via the internet is unfortunately not 100% secure. Although we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our sites; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we follow strict procedures and security features to prevent unauthorised access.

If you have specific concerns about a method of data transfer, we will take all reasonable steps to arrange an alternative method.

Your rights

You have the right to obtain free information about the personal information we hold about you, whether it is transferred to a third country or international organisation and about the associated security measures.

You have the right to receive personal information we hold about you in a commonly used and machine-readable format.

If information we hold is inaccurate or incomplete, you have the right to ask us to correct this information, which we will do immediately.

You have the right to ask us to erase data we process about you if it no longer needs to be processed.

If you have previously given us consent to process your data, you have the right to withdraw this consent, so that we stop processing your data to which this consent applied. You also have the right to object to the processing of your data by us.

Our sites may contain links to our partner networks and affiliated companies. If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites have their own privacy policies and that we accept no responsibility or liability for these policies. Please check these policies before you submit any personal information on these websites.

Communication

Of course we want to keep our clients and stakeholders informed about ValutaPartners, future changes, new products and market developments. If you do not wish to receive emails from us, you can unsubscribe via info@valutapartners.nl. Please note that for certain communications ValutaPartners and Currencycloud are obliged to inform you, such as changes to agreements, and you cannot unsubscribe from these messages as long as you are a client of ValutaPartners and Currencycloud.

Retention of your data

The period during which we retain your data depends on the statutory retention periods with which we must comply. In accordance with Currencycloud's policy and relevant regulations, we retain your data in principle for a period of five years after termination of the client relationship. After this period expires, your personal data will be securely deleted, unless it is still required for the settlement of an agreement, legal obligations or the conduct of a dispute.

Changes to our privacy policy

This policy was last amended on 21 February 2023. Any changes we make to our privacy policy in the future will be posted on this page and you will be informed by email where necessary. Please visit our sites regularly to check whether our privacy policy has been amended.
